The walks into the crowd.
Nobody knows her name.
She stares up at the sky.
Not one of them look the same.
Her lips curl up.
Nobody notices her gladness.
Her eyes grow wide.
She never had such lack of sadness.
The last fire crackles.
All was said a done.
A concerned mother looks to her and
says, "Are you lost hun?"
The girl thinks then answers her,
"I won't be for much longer..."
She touches the rag on her head
On the fireworks she starts to ponder.
As the crackling fire in her mind replays,
Her smile comes back even brighter.
People start to glance her way.
Many not nowing that she was a fighter.
Nobody knows her name.
She stares up at the sky.
Not one of them look the same.
Her lips curl up.
Nobody notices her gladness.
